Easy Elsie

Expedition to crashed Lancaster bomber "Easy Elsie". Crashed the 29th oct 1944 in Sweden, Porjus, after being damaged by German AA-gun.

  • My Spiderbeam mast 12m high. The antenna is an OFC dipol antenna. 1:6 balun at top, feeding with wires. Perfect from 80m - 6m.

  • My ham radio friend Torbjörn (Tobbe) SM2ELN with wife visiting "Easy Elsie".
  • Torbjörn explains how to fly "radio controlled" airplanes to Rasmus, my son. Tobbe is a real fan of radio controlled airplanes, both to build them and  flying.  He also has a great interest in airplanes and war history....

  • This was a great adventure and very interesting to read about the crew and the story about this aircraft. I can recomend a visit to this place if you are in Sweden and at Porjus.
